NIGERIA POLICE FORCE EDUCATION UNIT
- The Force Education Unit was created in 1986 to provide education services as welfare particularly to children of both serving and retired personnel of the Force
- It is headed by a Deputy Commissioner of Police
- Presently, the Force Education Unit is made up of fifteen (15) functional secondary schools and seventy-one (71) primary schools.
- Since its establishment, the Police Schools have recorded excellence in external examinations conducted by WAEC, NECO, BECE with over 90% pass.
- The Children displaying today are pupils of the Police Children School; POWA International School, Garki, Abuja.
It is worthy to note that the Inspector General of Police has since assumption of office offered full scholarships to children of some deceased Policemen who died in line duty from Primary to Secondary levels.
